The sheriff of Los Angeles County or such law enforcement officer designated by the city as the officer responsible for law enforcement within the city shall cause to be made a permanent record of all information, photographs and fingerprints required by the provisions of CMC 9.04.490 and 9.04.500 to be furnished to or by him, and to forthwith furnish a copy of these records, photographs and fingerprints to the district attorney of Los Angeles County; and these records, photographs and fingerprints shall at all reasonable times be open to the inspection of any peace officer having jurisdiction within the boundaries of the city.
