A person engaged in business in the city may apply for a business license under a fictitious name only if the name has been registered in compliance with all of the provisions of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. In all other cases, a person engaged in business in the city must obtain a business license in the true name of the person or persons applying for the business license.
