(1) Duties. For the purpose of this code, when no city treasurer has been appointed, the finance director is designated to discharge the duties of the city treasurer as set forth in CMC 2.24.010.

Notwithstanding the above, any application required to be filed with the city or fee required to be paid by the city pursuant to the provisions of this code shall be filed with or paid to the director of finance, unless otherwise by this code provided.

(2) Bond. Upon entry to office, the director of finance shall execute a bond to the city in conformity with the bonds of public officers and with the provisions of the Government Code of the state relating thereto and in an amount approved by resolution of the city council.
